Description

The Conistarino is an LED flush ceiling light with a soft pebble outline rather than a perfect circle, so it brings a gentle, organic shape to a plain ceiling. A smoked grey, transparent plastic shade sits over a white diffuser, and the body behind it is white steel. It measures 40cm across and sits just 6.5cm deep against the ceiling. The LED light gives 2,600 lumens, a generous output for the main light in a room. It is rated IP20, which settles where it goes: this is a light for dry indoor rooms.

We would put it in a living room, bedroom, hallway or landing, anywhere you want one bright light kept close to the ceiling. Because it sits so flat, it suits rooms with lower ceilings, where a hanging pendant would crowd the space or catch tall heads. Lit, the white diffuser glows through the centre while the smoked grey rim catches the light around its curved edge, which gives the shape real depth. It is a good choice for anyone who likes soft, modern forms but wants a practical everyday light, and the grey and white palette sits comfortably with pale walls, grey furnishings and warm timber.

The body is steel and the shade is plastic, and packed, the whole light weighs 1.344KG, so it is easy to lift into position. It runs on 220-240V, 50/60Hz mains. It is not dimmable, so plan to run it from a standard switch rather than a dimmer. As a wired mains light, it is installed by a qualified electrician. The installation instructions come as a download, so you can read through the fitting details before the day of the job.
