Description

The Congiunti is an LED flush ceiling light made from a pair of interlinked rings in black steel, each faced with a white plastic diffuser that spreads the light softly. The rings sit on a short stem beneath a round canopy, keeping the light close to the ceiling. It is 46.5cm long, 28cm wide and 14cm high. The light source is integrated LED, rated at 12W and giving 1,500lm, enough to work as the main ceiling light in a living room or bedroom. With an IP20 rating it is made for dry rooms indoors, so it stays away from bathrooms and damp spaces.

We think it suits a living room, bedroom or hallway with a modern scheme, where the black rings stand out against a pale ceiling. From the sofa, the overlapping circles read as a single continuous drawn line, which gives a plain room a point of interest without any clutter. Because it sits close to the ceiling, it is a good choice for rooms with standard ceiling heights, where a long pendant would hang too low. When the LEDs are lit, the white diffusers glow around the edge of each ring and a soft halo of light falls back onto the ceiling.

The body is steel with a black finish, and the diffusers are white plastic. Because the LEDs are integrated, there is no bulb to buy or change. Three colour temperatures are chosen at the light itself: 2700K for a warm, relaxed glow, 4000K for a neutral white and 6500K for a crisp, cool daylight white. It is not dimmable and has no switch of its own, so it works from your existing wall switch. It weighs 1.413KG packed. As a wired-in mains light, it is installed by a qualified electrician, and the installation instructions come as a download, so they can be read before the day of fitting.
