Description

This wooden confirmation photo frame pairs a soft off white finish with warm gold lettering, made to keep a picture from a day of faith close by. The word Confirmation runs across the top in flowing gold script, and beneath the opening the words FOLLOW AND GROW IN THE GRACE OF OUR LORD sit in neat gold capitals. To the left stands a raised figure of a girl in a white dress and veil, a crown of flowers in her hair and her hands together in prayer; in the lower right corner a small cross is wrapped in a sprig of green leaves. The single rectangular opening holds a 6 x 4in photograph in landscape.

We think it makes a thoughtful confirmation gift, with room for a photograph of the service, the family gathered afterwards or a portrait in the white dress. Because it is freestanding, it needs no wall and no fixings: it sits happily on a bedroom chest of drawers, a bedside table, a bookshelf or a mantelpiece, and moves easily from room to room. The soft neutral colours sit comfortably beside other keepsakes and framed family photographs, so it settles into most rooms without fuss and stays a quiet reminder of the day for years to come.

The frame is made of wood with a smooth off white face, and at 1.8cm deep it has a slim, tidy profile. A board easel at the back holds it upright, and a small turn clip keeps the backing board in place, so changing the picture is quick. It comes without a mount, so your photograph fills the opening edge to edge. To keep it looking its best, dust it with a soft dry cloth now and then. For a gift, slip a favourite photograph from the day inside before you wrap it.
