Description

The Comfort is a 500mm horizontal wall light with four G9 bulbs housed behind frosted glass diffusers set within a polished chrome rectangular frame. Each of the four bulbs sits in its own frosted glass tube, directing light both forward into the room and up and down the wall surface to create a mix of direct and indirect illumination.

Designed for hallways, above bathroom mirrors, and as accent lighting in living rooms or dining areas, the Comfort works where horizontal wall space allows a 500mm fixture. The 70mm projection from the wall keeps the fitting compact enough for corridors without encroaching into walkways, while the 85mm height gives the fitting enough presence to balance the width. The four-light configuration provides more output than single or twin-bulb wall lights, making it suitable for larger mirrors or for use as primary rather than just accent lighting.

The polished chrome finish reflects ambient light in the room and pairs with both modern monochrome schemes and warmer-toned interiors where chrome fittings are used as accent details. The frosted glass diffusers soften the output from the G9 bulbs, removing visible hotspots and creating an even wash of light across the width of the fitting. Four G9 bulbs at 40W each give a total 160W load capacity, though most users will fit LED G9 capsules at 3-5W each for equivalent light output with lower power draw. The fitting takes four G9 capsule bulbs up to 40W each. G9 bulbs are sold separately. Most users fit LED G9 capsules at 3-5W, which provide equivalent light to a 30-40W halogen with lower energy use and less heat.

Is it suitable for use above a bathroom mirror?

The Comfort has no IP rating listed in the specification, so it should only be used in bathroom zones where IP protection is not required. Check UK bathroom zones regulations before installing above a sink or in proximity to a shower or bath.

Can it be dimmed?
