The Colorado is a 9-light crystal spiral pendant with a 2000mm drop and a 650mm-wide polished chrome canopy at the ceiling. Hundreds of individual faceted crystal droplets are threaded onto metal strands that twist and descend in a corkscrew pattern, forming a vertical column of light and refraction. Nine GU10 bulb fittings sit within the spiral structure, casting light through the surrounding crystal to create moving patterns on nearby walls.

Designed for double-height spaces where ceiling height exceeds 4m, the Colorado suits stairwells, entrance halls, atriums and over-landing voids where the full 2m drop can be appreciated from multiple levels. The spiral formation means the pendant is visible from below, from landings, and through balustrades, making it function as both light source and architectural sculpture. The 18kg weight requires a ceiling structure capable of bearing the load, and installation typically involves a reinforced ceiling rose or joist-mounted plate.

The polished chrome canopy and internal framework amplify reflections, multiplying the sparkle from each cut crystal facet. The crystals themselves are arranged in graduating sizes, with larger droplets forming rings at intervals down the spiral and smaller pieces filling the spaces between. This creates depth and visual texture when viewed from any angle. What ceiling height is needed for the Colorado?

What bulbs does it take?

The Colorado takes nine GU10 mains-voltage bulbs up to 50W each. Bulbs are sold separately. Most installations use LED GU10 bulbs between 4-6W in warm white (2700K-3000K) to reduce heat and running costs.

Is the pendant dimmable?

Yes, provided you fit dimmable GU10 bulbs and pair them with a compatible dimmer switch. Standard non-dimmable LED bulbs will flicker or fail to dim correctly.

Can the ceiling structure support 18kg?

The 18kg weight requires a reinforced ceiling fixing. Installation typically involves a joist-mounted plate or a ceiling rose fixed directly into structural timber or concrete. Plasterboard ceiling roses alone are not sufficient — consult a qualified electrician before ordering if ceiling reinforcement is needed.
