Colorado 6 Light Crystal Bar Pendant Light - Polished Chrome

The Colorado is a 1200mm linear crystal pendant light with six GU10 bulb fittings housed in a polished chrome bar, from which hundreds of precision-cut crystal strands cascade in a wave-like contour. Each strand is threaded with faceted crystal beads that refract light into the surrounding space, creating a shifting display of reflections across the crystal field. The polished chrome canopy and rectangular frame provide a clean modern base for the crystal curtain.

Designed for dining rooms, entrance halls and open-plan living areas with ceiling heights of 2.7m or above, the Colorado works as both task lighting over a dining table and ambient feature lighting in a double-height space. The 1200mm length suits tables between 1800-2400mm long, and the 820mm drop allows the crystal strands to hang clear of sight lines when seated. The six GU10 fittings are evenly distributed along the bar, with each bulb casting light through the crystal curtain below and across the chrome canopy above.

The wave contour is formed by varying the drop length of crystal strands across the 1200mm span, creating three distinct peaks and troughs. This gives the pendant movement and depth when viewed from the side, rather than a flat curtain effect. The crystals are cut glass rather than acrylic, with each bead catching and splitting ambient daylight even when the bulbs are off. At 9.3kg the fitting requires a ceiling rose rated for suspended loads and secure fixing into a joist or ceiling batten.

What bulbs does it take and are they included?

The Colorado takes six GU10 bulbs up to 50W each. Bulbs are not included. Most users pair this with 4-6W LED GU10 bulbs in warm white (2700K-3000K) for dining areas, which provides sufficient light through the crystal without glare.

Is it dimmable?

Yes, provided you fit dimmable GU10 bulbs and pair the fitting with a compatible LED dimmer switch. Non-dimmable bulbs will not dim and may flicker or fail if used with a dimmer.

What ceiling height is needed?

The 820mm drop suits rooms with ceiling heights of 2.7m or above. For dining table installation the pendant typically hangs 700-800mm above the table surface, meaning a 2.7-2.8m ceiling allows comfortable clearance when standing.

How is the crystal cleaned?

Switch off the power at the mains. Use a dry microfibre cloth to dust the crystal strands gently, working from the top of each strand downwards. For deeper cleaning, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water can be used, but avoid household sprays or polishes which leave residue on cut glass.
