Colorado 4 Light Crystal Bar Pendant Light - French Gold

The Colorado is an 800mm linear crystal pendant light with four GU10 fittings housed in a French gold rectangular canopy, from which multiple strands of precision-cut crystals cascade in a wave formation. Each strand carries cut crystal spheres and droplets that refract light from the four bulbs above, creating shifting patterns of light and shadow across the crystal curtain below.

Designed for installation above dining tables, kitchen islands and reception desks where the 800mm length can run parallel to the surface below, the Colorado suits rooms with ceiling heights of 2.6m or above to accommodate the 520mm drop from canopy to the lowest crystal point. The four GU10 fittings accept standard spotlight bulbs (sold separately), allowing control over colour temperature and brightness depending on the chosen LED or halogen bulb. The pendant is dimmable when paired with suitable GU10 dimmable bulbs and a compatible dimmer switch.

The French gold finish on the metal canopy provides a warm metallic tone that sits between polished brass and antique gold, with a subtle brushed texture that reduces glare under direct light. The crystal strands are arranged to form a gentle curve or wave contour when viewed from the side, rather than hanging in a uniform vertical curtain. At 6.3kg the fitting requires secure ceiling fixings into solid joists or a reinforced ceiling rose, particularly in older properties with lath-and-plaster ceilings.

What bulbs does it take and are they included?

The Colorado takes four GU10 bulbs up to 50W each. Bulbs are not included. Most users pair this with warm-white LED GU10s between 4-6W and 2700K-3000K to match the French gold finish.

Is it dimmable?

Yes, when fitted with dimmable GU10 bulbs and paired with a compatible GU10 dimmer switch. Not all LED GU10s are dimmable, so check the bulb specification before purchase.

What ceiling height is needed?

The 520mm drop from canopy to the lowest crystal point works best in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.6m or above. For a dining table the pendant typically hangs 700-800mm above the surface, which requires approximately 2.7-2.8m ceiling height once the table height is included.

How should the 6.3kg weight be supported?

The pendant requires secure ceiling fixings into solid joists or a reinforced ceiling rose rated for the weight. In older properties with lath-and-plaster ceilings, additional bracing between joists may be needed before installation.
