Description
The COB LED Strip is a continuous, dot-free line of diodes on a flexible 5 metre reel, giving an even line of light with none of the spotting you get from spaced SMD strips. It draws 12W per metre and delivers 1080 lumens per metre in a crisp 6500K daylight tone, with a high Ra90 colour rendering that keeps surfaces and finishes looking true. US buyers will know this format as COB LED tape light. It cuts to length at the marked intervals along the reel, so a run can be sized exactly to the space it lights.
The strip suits dry indoor accent and task runs: under kitchen cabinets and shelving, along coving and cove channels, behind a headboard or inside display joinery. With its bright 1080 lumens per metre and clean daylight output it works well as under-cabinet task light or as a continuous outline grazing a wall or ceiling line. Because it is rated IP00 it is for dry indoor positions only, so keep it clear of bathrooms, porches and any damp or outdoor location. The slim 8mm width tucks neatly into aluminium profiles and shallow channels.
Mounted on a flexible self-adhesive reel, the strip runs from a 12V DC LED driver, which is sold separately and must be sized to the total wattage of the length installed. It is not a mains-direct fitting, so do not connect it straight to a wall socket. Rated for around 30,000 hours, it cuts only at the printed cut points and lengths can be joined with the matching connectors. Our wider range includes 12V drivers and aluminium profiles to complete the install.

Frequently Asked
Does this LED strip need a separate driver?
Yes. It runs on 12V DC, so it needs a 12V LED driver, which is sold separately. Size the driver to the total wattage of the length you install, allowing 12W for every metre of strip.
Can the strip be cut to length?
Yes. The COB strip cuts only at the marked cut points along the 5 metre reel. Cutting between those points will damage the run, so trim at the nearest marked interval and join sections with the matching connectors.
Can it be used outdoors or in a bathroom?
No. This strip is rated IP00, which is for dry indoor use only. Keep it clear of bathrooms, showers, porches and any damp or outdoor position where moisture could reach it.
How do I clean and maintain the strip?
Switch it off and let it cool, then wipe the surface gently with a dry or barely damp lint-free cloth. Avoid solvents and soaking, and take care around the cut ends and connectors to keep the run reliable.
