The Cloressa is an outdoor wall light with a clean, geometric outline: a square-section black steel bracket reaches out from the wall and holds a white globe beneath a black cap. It stands 29cm tall, projects 27.5cm from the wall, and the globe is 20cm in diameter, so it reads clearly beside a door without crowding the wall. It takes a single E27 bulb of up to 40W, which you choose yourself, as the bulb is not included. Its IP44 rating means it is protected from splashing water, so this black outdoor wall light belongs outside on a house wall or a garden wall.

We picture it beside a front door, a back door or a set of patio doors, where the white globe gives a soft, diffused glow over the step and the wall around it. The black and white pairing sits against modern render, painted brick and timber cladding, and because the globe hides the bulb from view, nobody looks straight into a bare lamp at the door. Fit a pair either side of an entrance for a balanced, symmetrical look, or use one on the wall beside a garden gate, a shed or a studio. Choosing your own E27 bulb also lets you set the mood: a warm white for a relaxed terrace, a cooler white for a working porch.

The body and bracket are steel in a black finish, and the cap and stem above the globe are black to match. There is no switch on the light itself: it is switched at the wall.
