Clip-On Crystal Ring Lampshade - Polished Chrome

This clip-on crystal lampshade consists of 77 individual faceted crystal buttons, each held in a circular polished chrome ring that has been welded to form a tapered drum structure. The shade measures 120mm diameter at the base, tapering to 85mm at the top, with a 100mm height. The clip-on fitting grips the top of a standard candle bulb, allowing the shade to be added to existing chandelier arms or wall light fittings without rewiring.

Designed to add decorative sparkle to bare-bulb chandeliers, wall sconces and table lamp fittings that take E14 candle bulbs, the shade refracts and multiplies light through the 77 faceted crystals. The polished chrome rings amplify reflections, creating a combined sparkle and shimmer effect when the bulb is lit. The shade suits both traditional crystal chandeliers where additional refraction is wanted, and simpler contemporary fittings where the crystal shade becomes the decorative element.

Each crystal button is clear glass cut with multiple facets to maximise light refraction. The polished chrome rings are welded at connection points to form a rigid structure that holds its shape under the 0.33kg weight of the crystals. The clip-on fitting is a spring-loaded metal grip designed to hold onto E14 candle bulbs up to 60W. The shade does not include a bulb or electrical components and must be fitted to an existing live lamp holder.

How does the shade attach to a bulb?

The shade uses a spring-loaded metal clip that grips around the top of an E14 candle bulb. The clip sits just below the bulb's metal base and holds the shade in position. The fitting works with most standard E14 candle bulbs up to 60W.

What bulb type is needed?

The shade is designed for E14 candle bulbs (small Edison screw base, candle shape). LED candle bulbs in 4-6W are recommended to avoid heat build-up within the enclosed crystal structure. The shade supports bulbs up to 60W but LED equivalents run cooler and extend the life of the chrome finish.

Can it be used on any chandelier arm?

It fits any chandelier arm or wall sconce that uses an E14 candle bulb. The clip-on design means no rewiring or modification to the existing fitting is needed. The shade simply clips onto the bulb once the bulb is screwed into the lamp holder.

How is the crystal cleaned?

Switch off and allow the bulb to cool completely before cleaning. Use a dry microfibre cloth to wipe each crystal button. For heavier dust or residue, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water can be used, but avoid soaking the chrome rings and dry immediately to prevent water spots on the polished finish.
