Clear LED Globe Bulb E27 G125 7.3W 806lm Warm White

This is a large clear glass globe bulb with a spiral LED filament, made for an E27 screw cap lampholder. It is 17.3cm long and 12.5cm wide, a generous size that suits pendants and open fittings far better than a small enclosed lampshade. It draws 7.3W and gives 806lm of warm white light at 2700K, the soft, golden colour most people want in a living room at night. It is rated IP20, which settles where it can go: indoors and dry, so living rooms, bedrooms, dining rooms and hallways.

Where it really earns its place is on a bare pendant, with the whole globe and the coiled filament in full view. Because the glass is clear, the spiral shows from every angle, so the bulb does the decorating and the fitting can stay simple: a plain cord set, an open cage or a wall light with an exposed lampholder. We like it hanging over a reading chair, in groups above a kitchen island or in a row along a dining table. With 806lm from each bulb, there is a useful amount of light for reading as well as a lovely glow to admire, so you never have to choose between a pretty bulb and a practical light.

The bulb is not dimmable, so it belongs on an ordinary wall switch rather than a dimmer. It runs on a 220-240V, 50/60Hz mains supply, carries an energy class of E and weighs 0.256KG packed. The clear glass, rather than frosted, keeps the filament crisp and bright; to keep it looking that way, let the bulb cool fully and wipe the globe with a soft, dry cloth whenever dust gathers. Before you order, measure your shade or the space around the lampholder, because a 12.5cm globe needs far more room than an everyday bulb.

Will this globe bulb fit my lamp?

It has an E27 screw cap and the globe is 17.3cm long and 12.5cm wide, so check that your lampholder and shade leave enough room for a bulb this size.
