Description
The Citronic PLX3600 is a two-channel power amplifier built into a 19" 2U rackmount case. It delivers 2 x 1350W into 4 Ohms, with output stable down to 2 Ohms per side. When you need more power from a single output, bridge mode combines both channels for high power mono operation into a 4 Ohm load. Class H architecture keeps power delivery efficient and reliable, and dual fan cooling helps the amp run steadily through long sessions.
Connections are straightforward for live and installed setups. Balanced inputs are on XLR sockets, so you can run signal in from a mixer or processor with good noise rejection. Speaker outputs are provided on two Speakon (SPK) connectors and on 4mm binding posts, giving you a choice depending on your cabling. Front panel controls cover level for each channel, ground, mode and the clip limiter. The switchable ground lift helps deal with hum loops, while the switchable clip limiter protects your speakers by holding back the signal before it distorts hard.
The amp measures 482 x 453 x 88mm and runs from a 230Vac, 50Hz IEC mains supply. Frequency response spans 5Hz to 50kHz, with total harmonic distortion of 0.05% and a damping factor above 400 for tight control over connected drivers. A slew rate of 40V/us and 20k Ohm input impedance round out the electrical figures. Built-in protection guards against short-circuit, overload, D.C. faults and thermal problems, so the PLX3600 keeps working safely when pushed. It suits mobile PA, club and fixed install use where you want dependable power in a compact rack space.
