Description
The Citronic PLX2800 is a 19" rackmount power amplifier that fits a standard 2U space and delivers 2 x 1050W into 4 Ohms. It uses class H architecture with dual fan cooling to keep output steady during long sessions, and it stays stable down to 2 Ohms per side. If you need more power on a single channel, bridge mode gives you high power mono operation into a 4 Ohm load.
Connections are straightforward. Balanced inputs come in on XLR sockets, while speaker outputs are handled by 2 SPK connectors or 4mm binding posts, so you can wire up to your existing rig without adapters. Front panel controls cover level for channel 1 and channel 2, plus switches for ground lift, mode and the clip limiter. The switchable clip limiter helps protect your speakers when the amp is pushed hard, and the ground lift is there to deal with hum in awkward installs.
Under the hood you get an input impedance of 20k ohms, frequency response from 5Hz to 50kHz and total harmonic distortion of 0.05%. Slew rate is 40V/us and the damping factor is greater than 400, giving tight control over the low end. Protection covers short-circuit, overload, DC and thermal faults, so the amp shuts itself down before damage occurs. Power comes from a 230Vac 50Hz IEC supply. The chassis measures 482 x 453 x 88mm, which is the usual 2U rack size for mobile and fixed setups alike.

Frequently Asked
How much power does the PLX2800 deliver?
It gives 2 x 1050W into 4 Ohms. Output stays stable down to 2 Ohms per side, and you can bridge to mono for higher power into a 4 Ohm load.
Can I run it in bridge mode?
Yes. Bridge mode is switchable on the front panel for high power mono operation into 4 Ohms, useful when you need to drive a single load hard.
What inputs and outputs does it have?
Balanced inputs are on XLR sockets. Speaker outputs run through 2 SPK connectors or 4mm binding posts, so you can match your existing cabling.
How big is the amplifier?
It measures 482 x 453 x 88mm, a 2U rackmount size that fits a standard 19" rack for both mobile and installed systems.
What protection does it include?
The PLX2800 covers short-circuit, overload, DC and thermal protection, plus a switchable clip limiter and ground lift on the front panel.
What power supply does it need?
It runs from a 230Vac 50Hz mains supply via an IEC connector.
