Description
The Citronic MagicPAR-80W is a fanless PAR can built around 12 x 12W 6-in-1 RGBWA/UV LEDs. Because it dissipates heat through internal and external heatsinks rather than a fan, it runs completely silently. That makes it a sensible choice for rooms where noise carries, such as places of worship, study spaces and small theatres, where the hum of a cooling fan would be a distraction.
You can run the unit in a few different ways. There are internal auto, sound-activated and static programs that you set from the control panel on the back, plus the supplied IR remote control if you want to adjust things from a distance. For more precise control, it works over DMX-512 in either 6 or 10 channel modes, with 3-pin XLR DMX in and out for daisy-chaining several fixtures together. The 25 degree beam angle gives you a fairly tight wash, and power consumption sits at 80W.
Build quality is a strong point here. The heavy duty metal chassis and stand/bracket keep the fixture rigid whether you rig it or stand it on the floor, and it weighs 2.21kg. The twist and lock power connections let you link units in and out safely, and the remote uses a supplied CR2025 battery. The MagicPAR-80W is available in black and white colourways, so you can match it to your existing rig or venue. Dimensions are 210 x 210 x 185mm.

Frequently Asked
Is the MagicPAR-80W really silent?
Yes. It uses a fanless design and dissipates heat through internal and external heatsinks, so there is no fan noise at all. This makes it well suited to quiet rooms like places of worship and study spaces.
What colours can it produce?
It uses 12 x 12W 6-in-1 RGBWA/UV LEDs, which combine red, green, blue, white and amber for a wide colour range, plus ultraviolet for UV effects.
How do I control it?
You have three options: the control panel on the back for internal auto, sound-activated and static programs; the supplied IR remote; or DMX-512 in 6 or 10 channel modes via 3-pin XLR.
Can I link several units together?
Yes. The twist and lock power connections provide power in and out, and the 3-pin XLR DMX in and out let you daisy-chain multiple fixtures on the same control run.
What is the beam angle?
The beam angle is 25 degrees, giving a fairly focused wash suitable for washing a stage, wall or performer.
Does it come with a remote battery?
Yes. The IR remote is supplied with a CR2025 battery, so it is ready to use out of the box.
