Description
The Citronic H1600 is a lightweight power amplifier built into a 19" rack-mountable housing, made for driving medium to large sound reinforcement systems. It uses a hybrid class-H architecture that pairs a digitally controlled power section with a professional class-H output stage, giving you efficient running alongside solid power delivery. The amplifier is stable down to 2 ohms, or 4 ohms when bridged, and delivers 2x650W at 4 ohms. That combination suits sound contractors and PA installers who need dependable service and clear sound.
The power section is digitally controlled and monitored, with a backlit LCD showing supply voltage, internal temperature and output level so you can keep an eye on things during a job. Internal protection covers short and open circuit, thermal, RF, DC fault and on/off mute, plus active inrush limiting to manage the current draw at start-up. A fully balanced signal path offers three switchable input sensitivity settings (1.0V, 1.4V and 2.0V) to match different audio sources, and the amplifier can run in stereo, parallel or bridge modes.
A switchable 120Hz low-pass filter (also called a crossover) can be selected for use with subwoofers, which saves you fitting a separate crossover and frees up rack space and budget. Speaker outputs can be connected using one or two Speakon leads as needed. The frequency response runs 20Hz to 20kHz at ±0.5dB, with THD+N of 0.2%, a signal-to-noise ratio of -95dB and a damping factor above 700. It runs from a 200-240Vac, 50Hz IEC supply.

Frequently Asked
What power does the H1600 deliver?
It delivers 2x650W at 4 ohms. The amplifier is stable down to 2 ohms in stereo, or 4 ohms when run in bridge mode.
Can I use it with subwoofers without a separate crossover?
Yes. It has a switchable 120Hz low-pass filter, so you can feed subwoofers directly without adding a separate crossover, saving rack space and cost.
What operating modes does it support?
The amplifier section can be set to stereo, parallel or bridge mode, so you can match it to your setup.
How do I connect speakers?
Speaker outputs use Speakon connectors, and you can wire up with one or two Speakon leads depending on your needs.
What protection features are built in?
Internal protection covers short and open circuit, thermal, RF and DC faults, automatic mute at power on and off, plus active inrush limiting.
What input sensitivity options are available?
There are three switchable input sensitivity levels: 1.0V, 1.4V and 2.0V, to suit different audio sources through the balanced signal path.
