The Cimoneri-E is a compact outdoor wall light in textured black, with a stepped, louvred hood curving over a white opal diffuser. The body and the shade are both plastic. It is 23cm high, 8cm wide and 8cm long, and its slim, upright shape sits neatly beside a door frame where a broader lantern would feel crowded. It takes an E14 bulb, which is not included, so you can choose the brightness and colour of light that suit your home. Rated IP44, it is protected from splashing water, so it can live outdoors on a house wall.

We would put it beside a front or back door, in a porch, along a side path or next to garden steps, wherever you want a gentle glow on the wall after dark. Its clean, simple lines suit a modern rendered wall, and lights fitted either side of a doorway look balanced. The white diffuser softens the bulb's light, while slim slots in the hood let thin lines of light escape, adding a little detail to the wall in the evening.
