Description
This Highland cow candle holder is shaped as a shaggy cow's head and shoulders, with a round opening in the top of the head where a tealight sits. A long, textured fringe falls over a pair of dark eyes, fluffy ears stand out at either side, and two pale horns curve up and outwards. A sprig of green holly with red berries rests on the forehead, and a red, green and gold striped scarf wraps the neck, its fringed end tumbling down at the front. It is made from polystone resin in a warm brown, with a paler muzzle and horn tips, and it stands 11.6cm tall, 11cm wide and 9cm deep.
At that size it fits neatly on a windowsill, a mantelpiece or a bookshelf, and it makes a cheerful centrepiece on the Christmas table among the crackers and candles. The holly and the scarf give it a festive look, so it is a piece to bring out with the tree each December and set in the hallway or the living room. Lit on a dark evening, the little flame flickers just above that shaggy fringe. It also makes a warm Christmas gift that is easy to wrap or tuck into a hamper.
The resin has deep texture across every lock of fur, all the way round, and the scarf continues at the back as a plain red band, so it looks tidy from any side on an open shelf. Dust it with a soft dry cloth, or wipe it with a slightly damp cloth, keeping the opening dry. Use a tealight in its own cup, stand the holder on a steady, level surface away from anything that could catch, and never leave a burning candle unattended. For a cosy Highland scene, group it with a few pine cones and a sprig of real holly along the mantelpiece.

Frequently Asked
How big is the Highland cow candle holder?
It stands 11.6cm tall, 11cm wide and 9cm deep. That is a compact size that suits a windowsill, a mantelpiece, a bookshelf or the Christmas table.
What kind of candle does it take?
It holds a tealight, which sits in the round opening at the top of the cow's head. We suggest using a tealight in its own cup.
What is the candle holder made of?
It is made from polystone resin, with deeply textured fur in a warm brown, pale horns, green holly with red berries and a red, green and gold striped scarf.
Does it look good from the back?
Yes, the textured fur continues all the way round and the scarf shows as a plain red band at the back, so it looks tidy on an open shelf or table.
How should I clean it?
Dust it with a soft dry cloth, or wipe it gently with a slightly damp cloth if it needs more, keeping the candle opening dry.
Does it make a good Christmas gift?
With its holly sprig and festive striped scarf it makes a cheerful Christmas gift, and its compact size makes it easy to wrap or add to a hamper.
