Description
The Chinoa is a compact LED outdoor wall light with a smooth, oval band-shaped body in an anthracite finish, a deep charcoal grey that sits quietly against render, brick or painted walls. It measures 27cm long and 7.5cm high, and stands 13.5cm out from the wall. The light source is an integrated LED, so there is no separate bulb to fit; it draws 10W and gives 1,300 lumens of warm white light at 3000K. Its IP54 rating means it is protected from dust and splashing water, so it lives happily outdoors on a house wall.
We see it beside a front door, along a side return, by patio doors or on a garden wall, anywhere you want a warm wash of light close to the house. The long, low oval shape means a pair either side of a door looks neat and balanced, and the dark finish suits a modern rendered house as well as older brick. At 1,300 lumens it gives plenty of light to find your keys and see the steps, while the warm 3000K colour keeps the glow friendly rather than harsh. It suits anyone who wants a tidy, understated light by the door that works straight from the wall switch.
The body is made of aluminium and steel, and the diffuser on its underside is plastic. Aluminium resists corrosion, which counts for a lot on an exposed outside wall. There is no switch on the light itself, so it runs from your wall switch, and as it is not dimmable it belongs on a standard switch rather than a dimmer. It works on mains power at 220-240V, carries energy class E and weighs 1.135KG packed. As a wired mains light, it is installed by a qualified electrician, and the installation instructions come as a download.

Frequently Asked
Can the Chinoa go on an outside wall?
Yes. It is rated IP54, which means it is protected from dust and splashing water, so it lives outdoors on a house wall, by a door or along a garden wall.
How bright is the light?
It gives 1,300 lumens from 10W of integrated LED, at a warm white 3000K, which is plenty to light a doorway and its steps.
Can I dim it?
No. The light is not dimmable, so it should go on a standard wall switch rather than a dimmer; it has no switch of its own.
How large is the Chinoa?
It is 27cm long and 7.5cm high, and stands 13.5cm out from the wall, so it keeps a slim, low profile beside a door.
Does it need a bulb?
No separate bulb is needed. The light source is an integrated LED built into the fitting, so there is no bulb to buy or fit.
What finish is it?
The body is anthracite, a deep charcoal grey, in aluminium and steel, with a plastic diffuser on its underside.
