Chelsie 3 Light Beaded Glass Bar Pendant - Polished Chrome

The Chelsie is a three-light bar pendant with beaded clear glass globes suspended from a 650mm polished chrome canopy. Each globe is encased in a lattice of metallic beading that holds the clear glass in place and creates a diamond-pattern texture. The three pendants drop on individual cables, adjustable between 250mm and 1500mm, with each globe housing a G9 bulb fitting (bulbs sold separately).

Designed for kitchen islands, dining tables and breakfast bars, the 650mm linear canopy spreads the three light sources across the length of a worktop or table rather than concentrating them in a single point. The adjustable drop allows the globes to be positioned 600-800mm above a worktop for task lighting or 700-900mm above a dining table for ambient light without glare. The narrow 120mm width keeps the fitting compact enough for galley kitchens and smaller dining areas.

The beaded lattice around each globe refracts light through the clear glass, producing layered reflections on the chrome framework and surrounding surfaces when the bulbs are lit. The polished chrome finish shows fingerprints and requires occasional wiping with a microfibre cloth, but provides a high-reflectance surface that amplifies the light output compared to brushed or satin finishes. At 2.1kg the fitting is light enough to install on standard plasterboard ceilings with appropriate fixings.

What bulbs does the Chelsie take?

The pendant takes three G9 capsule bulbs, with a maximum 33W rating per bulb. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with 3-5W LED G9 bulbs in warm white (2700K-3000K) for kitchen and dining applications.

Is the Chelsie dimmable?

Yes, provided you fit dimmable G9 bulbs and pair the fitting with a compatible trailing-edge dimmer. Check the bulb packaging confirms dimmer compatibility before purchasing.

What ceiling height is required?

The adjustable drop of 250-1500mm means the Chelsie works in rooms with ceiling heights from 2.4m upwards. For a kitchen island or dining table, the globes typically sit 600-900mm above the surface, which requires a ceiling height of at least 2.4m to avoid head-clearance issues.

How is the polished chrome maintained?

Polished chrome shows fingerprints and watermarks more readily than brushed finishes. Wipe with a dry microfibre cloth to remove dust and marks. For stubborn smudges, a slightly damp cloth followed by immediate drying prevents water spotting.
