Description

The Chelsea Grande is a traditional lamp post head crafted from solid copper with clear polycarbonate glazing, a decorative finial crown and ornamental corner scrolls. The 750mm-tall lantern houses a single E27 bulb (sold separately) behind four flat glass panels set into a tapered hexagonal frame. The copper is left untreated and will develop a natural patina over time, darkening from the polished rose-copper finish shown in the image to deeper bronze and eventually verdigris green depending on exposure to weather.

Designed to mount atop a 76mm diameter lamp post (post sold separately), the Chelsea Grande suits driveways, front gardens, gated entrances and traditional residential estates where a period-style lantern is preferred over modern bollard or spike lights. The IP44 rating protects the internal bulb holder and wiring from rain and dust, making the lantern suitable for year-round outdoor installation in UK weather conditions. The clear polycarbonate lens is more impact-resistant than glass and does not yellow under UV exposure.
