Description
Cerchio is a single disc of natural Spanish alabaster held flat against the wall on one small brass boss at its centre. There is no frame, no backplate on show and no visible fixing beyond that one point, so the stone reads as a plain circle set into the wall. The disc is 200mm across and stands 90mm proud, which is enough for the light behind it to work but shallow enough to pass a doorway or a corridor without catching a shoulder.
An integrated LED behind the disc draws 5W and lights the stone from the back, so the glow starts at the centre and falls away towards the rim rather than filling the whole face evenly. The veining sits in the path of that light, which is why the marbling reads far more strongly lit than unlit. At this size it is an accent: it marks a stretch of wall, punctuates a corridor or sits in a pair either side of an opening.
The boss and the concealed fixing are brass, and the disc is cut from natural Spanish alabaster, so the veining, the translucency and the way the light pools behind it differ from piece to piece. No two are alike. It is shown here on limewashed plaster in a hallway beside a console. Rated IP20 for interior use. Cerchio runs to 250mm, 300mm and 350mm discs in the same range, so a corridor can carry one size and a wider wall another. Because the disc is flat rather than domed, it also sits close enough to an architrave to work in a tight return.

Frequently Asked
How is it fixed to the wall?
Through a single brass boss at the centre of the disc, onto a concealed fixing behind the stone. There is no visible backplate, which is what lets it read as a plain circle on the wall.
How far does it stand off the wall?
90mm. That is shallow enough to use in a corridor or beside a door without it catching as you pass, which is why the range suits circulation space.
Does every disc look the same?
No. Each is cut from natural Spanish alabaster, so the veining and translucency are unique to the block. The marbling reads much more strongly when the fitting is lit than when it is off.
How bright is it?
The integrated LED draws 5W and lights the stone from behind. At 200mm it is an accent light that marks a stretch of wall rather than lighting a whole room.
Can it be used in a bathroom?
No. It is rated IP20, which covers dry interior locations only, so it should not be installed in a bathroom zone or anywhere it may meet moisture.
