Description
The Cembrano is an LED flush ceiling light built from three overlapping squares: two open black frames crossing opposite corners of a central square panel of natural slats on a black backing. It measures 92.5cm long and 44.5cm wide, yet stands just 8cm high, so it keeps close to the ceiling rather than hanging down into the room. A white plastic shade runs along the underside of each frame. With 3,300 lumens it gives a generous amount of light for a main ceiling fitting, and its IP20 rating settles where it belongs: indoors, in dry rooms.
Its long, low outline suits a living room or a dining room, especially where a pendant would crowd a modest ceiling height or block the view across the table. Over a dining table its length lines up neatly along the tabletop, and in a lounge the crisp squares sit well with wood panelling, oak furniture and dark accents. The pairing of black frames and warm natural slats is ideal for a room that already mixes dark metal with pale timber, tying the ceiling into the rest of the scheme. Because the rating is IP20, we would keep it to dry indoor rooms rather than a bathroom or a porch.
Steel, wood and felt make up the body, so the black lines stay crisp while the natural slats add warmth at the centre. The fitting runs on 220-240V, 50/60Hz mains and weighs 2.625KG packed. As a wired-in mains light, it should be installed by a qualified electrician, and the installation instructions are available as a download for them to read beforehand. Before ordering, measure the ceiling: at 92.5cm long it needs a clear stretch, free of beams, vents and other fittings.
