Description

The Cembrano is a square LED flush ceiling light, 31.5cm long and 31.5cm wide, and just 6cm high, so it sits close to the ceiling. Two stepped black frames, each lined with a white diffuser, rest over natural slats laid across a black backing, which gives the light a layered look rather than the flat face of a plain panel. The LED light source delivers 2,300lm, a bright output that lets it work as the main light in a room rather than as a background glow. It is rated IP20, which settles where it belongs: indoors, in dry rooms, away from bathrooms and the weather.

Being so shallow, it suits rooms where a pendant would hang too low: a living room with a modest ceiling height, a bedroom, a study or a hallway. The black and natural pairing sits comfortably alongside oak furniture, slatted wall panels and warm neutral schemes, while the black frames give it a crisp, modern outline. With light running around both squares, the slats catch the glow and bring warmth and texture to the ceiling, so you get a fitting that looks just as considered by day as it does at night.

The body brings together steel, wood and felt, in black and natural, and the felt backing gives the slats a soft, matt ground behind them. The diffusers are white plastic, which spreads the light from the LEDs evenly around each frame. Packed, the light weighs 1.763KG. As a wired-in mains light, it should be installed by a qualified electrician, and the installation instructions come as a download, so you can read them before fitting day.
