Description
The Cembrano is a square LED flush ceiling light, 53cm long, 53cm wide and just 9cm high, so it sits close to the ceiling and keeps headroom clear in rooms with a lower ceiling. Two overlapping square frames in black cross a black panel set with natural wood slats and strips of black felt. The frames carry white plastic diffusers that spread the LED light along their edges. It gives out 1,750lm, a generous output for a main ceiling light. The IP rating is IP20, which settles where it belongs: indoors, in a dry room.
We think it suits a living room best, where the slatted wood centre picks up timber floors, shelving or panelled walls. It sits just as happily in a bedroom, a dining room or a study. The flush profile makes it a good choice above a sofa or a bed, where a hanging light could feel too low. The square shape lines up neatly with the walls of a square or rectangular room. Because the light comes from the two frames, the glow spreads out across the ceiling, and the wood and felt panel stays on show whether the light is lit or not.
The body combines steel, wood and felt in black and natural tones. Steel gives the frames crisp, straight lines, while the wood slats and the textured black felt bring a warmth that a plain metal fitting lacks. It runs at 220-240V, 50/60Hz. The packed weight is 2.225KG, which is worth knowing when you handle the box. As a wired mains light, it is installed by a qualified electrician. The installation instructions come as a download, so your electrician can read them ahead of the day.

Frequently Asked
Can the Cembrano go in a bathroom?
No. It is rated IP20, which means indoors in a dry room, so we suggest a living room, bedroom, dining room or study and never a bathroom or anywhere outdoors.
How bright is the Cembrano?
It gives out 1,750lm, a generous output that lets it work as the main ceiling light in a living room, bedroom or dining room.
How big is the light?
It measures 53cm long and 53cm wide and is just 9cm high, so it sits close to the ceiling and suits rooms with lower ceilings.
Which materials does the light use?
The body is steel, wood and felt in black and natural tones, and the shade is white plastic, which spreads the LED light along the two square frames.
What voltage does it need?
It runs at 220-240V, 50/60Hz, which matches the mains supply in UK homes, so it needs nothing unusual to power it.
