Description

The Cavaro is a 160mm tall rectangular wall light cut from a solid block of travertine in a light beige tone, with an integrated COB LED set into the lower opening. The block measures 80mm wide and projects from the wall as a single carved volume, with the natural pores, mineral flecks and tonal banding of the stone left visible across all four faces. Light exits only from the underside, casting a warm downward wash onto the wall below.

Designed as accent and ambient lighting rather than task light, the Cavaro suits hallways, stairwell walls, bedrooms either side of a bed, and living-room walls where a soft grazing wash is wanted instead of a bright downlight. The compact 80mm width keeps it close to the wall surface, so it works well in narrow corridors and beside doorways without intruding on circulation space. The integrated COB LED removes the need to source a separate bulb and gives an even, point-source-free wash across the stone.

Travertine is a sedimentary limestone, and each block cut for the Cavaro carries its own pattern of pits, voids and tonal variation, so no two fittings look identical. The light beige finish reads as a warm neutral against white, off-white and stone-coloured walls, and pairs comfortably with plaster, oak, and brushed brass detailing elsewhere in a room. The rectangular geometry keeps the silhouette quiet so the texture of the stone, rather than the shape of the fitting, becomes the visible feature.

Does the Cavaro need a separate bulb?

No. The fitting uses an integrated COB LED module, so there is no separate bulb to buy or replace. The LED is fixed within the lower opening of the travertine block.

Does it light upwards as well as downwards?

No. Light exits only from the lower opening of the block, producing a single downward wash onto the wall below. It is a one-way fitting rather than an up-and-down wall washer.

Will every fitting look the same as the photo?

No. Travertine is a natural stone with its own pattern of pores, voids and tonal banding in each block. The general colour and form will match, but the surface markings will vary between individual pieces.

Is it suitable for bathrooms or outdoor use?

The Cavaro is supplied as an indoor wall light and no IP rating is listed in the specification, so it should not be installed in bathroom zones or outdoors. Use it in hallways, bedrooms, living rooms and other dry interior spaces.
