Description
The Catenis Large is a 1000mm tall wall light built around a cylindrical natural Spanish alabaster shade held within a tall, slender brushed brass loop frame. The shade sits high on the frame, with three further open brass loops extending below it to the floor-end of the fitting. Two G9 lamps inside the alabaster cylinder cast warm light through the stone and illuminate the brass loops behind.
At 1000mm high, 150mm wide and projecting just 80mm from the wall, Catenis suits double-height entrance halls, stairwell walls, hotel corridors and tall living-room walls where a vertical accent reads better than a horizontal one. The shallow projection means it can sit alongside a staircase or in a circulation route without obstructing movement. Mounting fixings are concealed within the frame, so the loop silhouette reads cleanly against the wall surface.
The alabaster shade is cut from a single block of Spanish stone, so the veining, mineral clouding and tonal variation differ between individual pieces. The brushed brass frame has a low-lustre finish that warms under lamp light without throwing reflections, and the loops are evenly curved with consistent spacing for a balanced composition. Twin G9 capsule lamps (sold separately) seat inside the cylinder, allowing flexibility on colour temperature and output.

Frequently Asked
What bulbs does Catenis take?
The fitting takes two G9 capsule lamps, sold separately. G9 LED capsules are widely available in warm white (2700K-3000K), and most users pair the alabaster shade with a 2700K lamp for a warmer glow through the stone.
How tall is the wall light, and where does it suit?
Catenis is 1000mm tall (1m) and 150mm wide, with an 80mm projection from the wall. The vertical proportion suits double-height entrance halls, stairwell walls, hotel corridors and tall living-room walls. The shallow projection allows it to sit in circulation routes without obstruction.
Is each alabaster shade identical?
No. Each shade is cut from natural Spanish alabaster, so the veining, mineral clouding and translucency differ between pieces. This is a feature of the natural stone rather than a defect.
How is the alabaster cleaned?
Wipe the shade with a dry, soft microfibre cloth. For more stubborn marks, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water is acceptable, but avoid soaking the stone and do not use household sprays, polishes or chemical cleaners on the alabaster or the brushed brass frame.
