Description

The Canto is a 500mm cubic frame chandelier in polished nickel with five E27 bulb holders arranged inside cylindrical clear glass sleeves. The frame is built from welded rectangular bar stock forming a double-layer cube structure, with the inner frame holding the bulbs and the outer frame providing structural support and visual definition. Each bulb sits inside a clear cylindrical glass shade that protects the filament without diffusing the light, allowing exposed-filament LED or vintage-style bulbs to remain visible when lit.

Designed for dining tables, kitchen islands and entrance halls with ceiling heights from 2.4m upwards, the Canto sits between ambient and decorative lighting. The 500mm width suits table lengths of 1.6-2.2m or kitchen island runs of 1.8-2.4m, typically installed 700-850mm above the surface. The drop is adjustable between 440mm and 1360mm on a chain suspension, giving flexibility across different ceiling heights. The polished nickel finish adds reflective brightness in daylight and creates secondary reflections when lit, particularly effective with warm-white filament bulbs.

The open cubic geometry means light travels outward through all six faces of the frame without obstruction, providing usable task light on surfaces below and ambient fill light to surrounding walls and ceilings. The five-bulb configuration creates multiple shadow angles rather than a single hard shadow, reducing harshness on task surfaces. At 3.1kg the chandelier needs secure fixing to a ceiling joist or suitable ceiling rose rated for the load.
