Description

The Camerota is a round pendant light built around a single ring with a gentle twist, so the band turns from its bronze outer face to a glowing inner edge as the ring curves. The body is aluminium and steel in a dark bronze finish, with a fine brushed grain that catches the light, and a white plastic shade runs along the ring as one continuous line of light. It measures 55cm across and stands 120cm tall overall, hung on three slim wires from a round ceiling canopy in the same finish. Its rating is IP20, which means it belongs indoors in a dry room.

With an output of 4,300 lumens, this is bright enough to serve as the main light in a room rather than a decorative extra. We think it suits a dining table best, where the ring hangs over the centre of the table and gives the whole room a clear focal point, but it works as well in a kitchen-diner, a living room or a hallway with good ceiling height. It is dimmable, so the light that is bright enough for homework or a family meal can soften to a gentle glow later in the evening. The dark bronze reads warm against white, grey or cream walls and sits comfortably beside wood, marble and black metal.

A remote control comes in the box and controls the light, and it takes a CR2032 battery. There is no switch on the fitting itself, since it is switched at the wall.
