The Camerota is an oval pendant light: a slim, gently twisted ring in a soft sand finish, hung on four fine wires from a round ceiling canopy. The ring is 111cm long and 38cm wide, and the light has an overall height of 120cm, so it has the reach to span a long dining table or a kitchen island. The body is aluminium and steel, and a white plastic diffuser runs along the ring to soften the light. At 4,800 lumens it gives a generous output, enough to act as the main light in a room. It is rated IP20, which settles where it goes: indoors, in a dry room.

Its long, narrow shape suits rooms where a round pendant would leave the ends of a table in shadow: a dining room, an open plan kitchen, or a long living space where the light should follow the furniture. The sand finish is a warm neutral that sits easily with oak, stone, linen and pale walls, while the fine wires keep the view across the room clear, so the ring seems to float. Because it is dimmable, it can be bright while you cook or work, then turned down low for a long dinner, and its three colour temperatures let you choose the shade of white that suits the room.

There is no switch on the light itself: it is switched at the wall, and the remote control that comes in the box controls it from across the room. The remote takes a CR2032 battery. The colour temperature is chosen at the light, so it is worth settling on your preferred setting at the time of fitting. It runs on mains power at 220-240V, 50/60Hz, and the packed weight is 2.45KG. As a wired ceiling light it is installed by a qualified electrician, and the installation instructions come as a PDF download.
