Description

We stock the Cambio felt pendant as a softer, textured light for over a table or island. Layered dark grey felt blades sit around a central E27 lampholder, giving an elliptical shade with black fittings and an aluminium frame hidden inside for rigidity. The felt blades overlap slightly, so a little light spills between the layers while most of the output falls straight down through the open base.

It suits dining tables, kitchen islands and living room focal points in modern and contemporary rooms where softer materials are preferred over metal or glass. The pendant hangs on a black fabric-covered cable from a black ceiling rose, with an adjustable drop to suit different ceiling heights. Because the shade is felt rather than hard material, it also takes the edge off ambient noise, which helps in open-plan spaces with hard floors and few soft furnishings.

The shade accepts any standard E27 bulb up to 60W (max), so you can choose the brightness and colour of light to suit the room. It runs on 220 to 240V AC 50Hz mains and is rated IP20 for indoor, dry locations. Whether it dims depends on the bulb you fit, as there is no integrated LED. A clear filament bulb picks out the geometric shadow the blades cast on nearby walls, while a frosted bulb gives a gentler, more even glow.

Frequently Asked

What bulb does it take?

It takes a single standard E27 screw-in bulb up to 60W (max), sold separately. That lets you pick the brightness and colour temperature to suit the room.

Is it dimmable?

There is no integrated LED, so dimming depends on the bulb you fit. Pair a dimmable E27 bulb with a compatible dimmer switch and you can take it down to a soft glow.

How is this different from the other Cambio pendants?

This is the felt version, with layered dark grey felt blades and black fittings. We also stock Cambio pendants with a cork shade and a fabric shade in the same black finish.

Where is it suitable to fit?

It is rated IP20 for indoor, dry rooms, so it works over dining tables, kitchen islands and living room seating. It is not suitable for bathrooms or outdoor use.
