Description

The Calla is a 520mm pressed steel bar pendant suspending three E27 lamp holders on individual black fabric flex cables, each adjustable up to 1.8m in length. The matt black bar acts as both canopy and structural rail, allowing the three pendants to hang at different heights or aligned in parallel depending on installation preference.

Designed for kitchen islands, dining tables and worktop zones where a linear arrangement of light sources is needed, the Calla provides three distinct points of illumination across a horizontal plane. The 520mm bar suits counters and islands between 1.2m and 2.4m in length, either centred or offset depending on room layout. Each cable can be shortened during installation to set the drop distance, making the fitting adaptable to ceiling heights from 2.4m upwards.

The pressed steel construction gives the bar rigidity without weight, and the matt black finish absorbs rather than reflects light from the bulbs below. The three lamp holders accept standard E27 bulbs up to 40W each (sold separately), allowing the choice of filament-style decorative bulbs for an exposed look or frosted LED bulbs for cleaner downlight. The IP20 rating restricts use to indoor dry locations only.

What bulbs does it take?

Each of the three lamp holders takes a standard E27 Edison screw bulb up to 40W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with filament-style LED bulbs at 4-6W and 2200K-2700K for an industrial look, or standard warm-white frosted LEDs for cleaner task lighting over worktops.

Can the cable lengths be adjusted?

Yes. Each of the three cables is 1.8m long and can be shortened during installation to set individual drop heights. This allows the three pendants to hang at the same level for symmetry, or staggered at different heights for a cascading effect.

What length kitchen island does it suit?

The 520mm bar works well over islands and dining tables between 1.2m and 2.4m in length. For longer islands, two Calla pendants can be installed in series or a longer bar pendant used instead.

Is it dimmable?

Dimming depends on the bulbs used. If you fit dimmable E27 LED or filament bulbs and pair them with a compatible trailing-edge dimmer, the fitting will dim. The fitting itself has no built-in dimming function.
