Description
The Caldera Small is a 470mm alabaster wall light built around a vertical column of natural Spanish alabaster, split into two stacked sections by a central brushed brass band. A flat brushed brass backplate runs the full height of the fitting, with two slim brass uprights flanking the stone on either side. An integrated 6W LED inside the column casts soft 3000K light through the alabaster, turning the stone itself into the diffuser.
Designed as architectural wall lighting, the Caldera suits hallways, entryways, staircases and living rooms where a vertical wash of warm light works better than a downward-throwing reader. The 100mm projection keeps it close to the wall, so it sits comfortably in narrower corridors and beside doorways without intruding into walking space. Mounted in pairs either side of a mirror, console or bed, the light gives symmetrical accent illumination at face height.
The column is cut from natural Spanish alabaster, which means the veining, translucency and tonal variation differ between individual pieces. The split-core construction divides the stone into upper and lower halves bound by the brass band, giving the fitting visible structure rather than a single unbroken bar of light. The combination of solid copper internal frame, brushed brass exterior and natural alabaster gives the Caldera weight and substance against the wall, while the 120mm width keeps the overall footprint contained.

Frequently Asked
Does the Caldera come with a bulb?
Yes. The light source is an integrated 6W LED rated at 3000K (warm white) running on 230V mains, so no separate bulb is needed. Because the LED is built into the fitting it is not user-replaceable in the way a standard bulb would be.
Can it be used in a bathroom?
The Caldera is not supplied with a bathroom IP rating in the specification, so it should be treated as an indoor wall light for hallways, living rooms, bedrooms and staircases rather than fitted in bathroom zones.
Does the alabaster vary between pieces?
Yes. Each column is cut from natural Spanish alabaster, so veining, translucency and subtle tonal variation differ between individual pieces. This is a feature of the natural stone rather than a defect, and means no two Caldera fittings look identical when lit.
How is the alabaster cleaned?
Alabaster is porous and softer than marble. Wipe gently with a dry, soft microfibre cloth. For more stubborn marks, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water is acceptable, but avoid soaking the stone and do not use household sprays, polishes or chemical cleaners on the alabaster or the brushed brass.
