Description
The Caldera is a 300mm circular wall light cut from a single piece of light beige travertine, with a central opal glass diffuser housing a G9 lamp. The disc is shaped with shallow radial facets that run from the outer edge to the inner aperture, catching light unevenly across the surface and giving the stone a pleated, sculptural relief rather than a flat slab.
Designed as architectural ambient lighting, the Caldera suits feature walls in living rooms, dining areas, bedrooms and wider hallways where its 300mm diameter and 140mm projection have room to read as a sculptural object rather than a small accent fitting. The opal glass diffuser at the centre softens the G9 lamp into an even glow, washing light outward across the travertine and emphasising the natural pores, mineral speckling and tonal shifts in the stone.
Travertine is a sedimentary stone, so each disc shows different veining, pore patterns and shading from cream through to deeper beige. No two Caldera fittings are identical. The combination of natural stone, faceted geometry and a clean white glass centre balances raw material against refined finish, and the circular form softens the angular architecture of plastered walls and panelled surfaces. Installed alone the Caldera reads as a single sculptural fixture; arranged in pairs or rows along a corridor it builds a rhythm of repeated stone discs.

Frequently Asked
What bulb does the Caldera take?
The Caldera uses a single G9 capsule lamp, which is not included. Most users pair it with a warm-white 2700K-3000K G9 LED of around 3-4W to flatter the cream tones of the travertine.
Does each piece of travertine look the same?
No. Travertine is a natural sedimentary stone, so each disc varies in pore distribution, veining and tonal shading. The light beige base colour is consistent, but the surface pattern is unique to each fitting.
Can it be used in a bathroom?
The Caldera is not supplied with a published IP rating, so it should be treated as an indoor fitting for dry locations. It is not suitable for bathroom zones or external use.
How is the travertine cleaned?
Wipe the surface with a dry, soft microfibre cloth. Travertine is porous, so avoid soaking the stone or using household sprays, polishes or acidic cleaners, which can mark or etch the surface.
