The Calbrin is a flush ceiling light with a single white glass globe held close beneath a round brass ceiling plate. It is made of brass and glass, and we offer it in four finishes: Antique Brass, Antique Silver, Polished Brass and Satin Brass. Choose Polished Brass for a bright shine, Satin Brass for a quieter sheen, or one of the two antique finishes for an aged, lived-in look. The light stands 18.5cm tall and 14cm across, a compact size that keeps the globe tucked up close to the ceiling. The globe surrounds one bulb, so this is a simple, single light rather than a cluster.

We think it belongs in a hallway. Because it sits flush to the ceiling rather than hanging on a cord, it stays well clear of heads, which makes it a good fit for a narrow hall or a lower ceiling. With four finishes to choose from, it is easy to match to the metal of door handles, switch plates or a stair rail nearby. The Calbrin is an indoor fitting. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only, and it should not go anywhere it could be splashed.

Every Calbrin is made to order for you in Ireland, from brass and glass, in whichever of the four finishes you pick. It comes without a bulb: bulbs are sold separately, and it takes one G9 bulb, up to 6.5W per bulb (LED). It is wired in to the mains by a qualified electrician, so it is worth booking yours in advance. Have the right bulb ready alongside it, and the light can go straight into use once it is up.
