Description

The C-Ball W is a two-light wall light. A white glass sphere is held by a slim ring on an oval wall plate, with a small reading spotlight set near the base of the plate. The sphere gives a soft, diffused glow across the wall, and the spotlight puts a pool of light exactly where you are reading. We offer it in two finishes, brass or black, so you can choose warm metal or a quieter dark tone to suit the room. It is 27cm tall and 19cm wide, the sphere is 15cm across, and it reaches 19.5cm out from the wall.

It is made for the bedside. Fit one on each side of the bed and you have a gentle glow for winding down and a reading light for the last chapter, with nothing taking up space on the bedside table. It works just as well in a living room beside a favourite armchair. In a dining room, a pair on either side of a sideboard brings warmth to the walls in the evening. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms indoors only. It is not dimmable, so plan for it on a standard switch rather than a dimmer.

The design is by Stone Designs, and it is pared right back to a sphere, a ring and a plate. The wall plate is 18.5cm wide and only 2.6cm deep, so it sits close and neat against the wall. Whichever finish you choose, brass or black, the outline stays the same. The sphere takes one E14 bulb of up to 6W, which is sold separately and provides the main diffused light, so have one ready before the light goes up. It runs on mains power and is wired in by an electrician, so book a qualified electrician to install it. Our photographs show the black version.
