Description
The BTL is a 28W LED track light head that fits onto three-phase track to direct focused light where it is wanted. It draws 220-240V mains and delivers 3000 lumens at a warm 3000K white, with a tight, adjustable beam that runs from 15 to 45 degrees for a narrow spot through to a wider flood. In US terms this is a track lighting head, the kind clipped along a powered track rail rather than fixed to a single point. The high Ra 90 colour rendering keeps tones true, which matters where the light falls on products, artwork or finishes.
Track lighting works by carrying power along a continuous rail, so each head taps the live track wherever it is positioned. That makes the BTL well suited to retail displays, galleries, showrooms and feature walls where a run of heads can be aimed individually. Rather than washing a whole room evenly, this head concentrates output into a defined beam, so coverage is about throw and accent: the tighter 15 degree setting picks out a single object, while the 45 degree setting grazes a wider zone such as a shelving bay or a section of wall. Heads can be added, removed or repositioned along the track as a layout changes.
The body is aluminium alloy in a white finish, weighing 594g, which helps the head dissipate heat over its rated 50,000 hour lifespan. The integrated LED runs at 107 lm/W and is not dimmable, so it is best paired with circuits where full output is wanted. It is rated IP20 for dry indoor use only, so keep it clear of damp, bathrooms and any outdoor position. We also stock matching track and additional heads in the BTL range to build a complete run.

Frequently Asked
What is track lighting and how does this head work?
Track lighting is a powered rail that carries the mains supply along its length, letting you mount and aim individual heads wherever they are needed. The BTL clips onto the track and taps power from the rail, so no separate wiring point is required for each head. You can angle it to throw its beam exactly where you want it.
What track does the BTL fit?
The BTL is a three-phase track head, so it mounts onto a compatible three-phase track rail rather than a single-circuit track. This lets multiple heads on the same run be split across separate switched circuits if the track is wired that way. Check your existing track is three-phase before fitting.
Can heads be added or repositioned later?
Yes. Because each head simply taps the live track, you can add, remove or slide heads along the rail as a display or layout changes. This makes it easy to re-aim accent lighting onto new products or features without rewiring.
What does the adjustable beam angle do?
The BTL adjusts from a 15 degree narrow spot up to a 45 degree wider flood. The tighter setting picks out a single object such as a product or piece of art, while the wider setting covers a larger area like a shelf or wall section. This lets you tune the accent to suit each position.
