Description

The large Brolvorne stands 66cm tall and 46cm across, an urn built up in clay and left unglazed. The foot is narrow, the belly is full, and the neck draws in to a wide flat collar that turns out again at the rim. Grey runs across the surface over patches of rust and a chalky bloom, and the wall is faintly banded where the coils were laid.

This is the larger of the two Brolvorne pots, 66cm tall and 21kg before anything goes into it. The height suits a doorway or a corner that needs something standing rather than spreading. There is a hole in the base for drainage, and the pot is listed as suitable for outdoor use.

Clay, coiled by hand in Vietnam, with nothing applied over the surface. Because the finish is raw the colour settles differently on every pot, so no two are alike. The Brolvorne range holds this pot, a smaller one at 49cm, and two wider planters at 30cm and 40cm tall.
