Description

The Brillix is a 99 x 73cm rectangle wall mirror built from a black-painted wood frame surrounding a bevelled glass border, which in turn frames the main mirror surface. The layered border creates depth — individual bevelled glass strips arranged in rows around the perimeter catch and refract light, giving the frame a faceted appearance that changes with viewing angle and room lighting.

Designed for living rooms, bedrooms and hallways where a larger mirror is needed without going full-length, the 99cm height sits comfortably above a mantelpiece, console table or sideboard. The mirror can be hung portrait or landscape depending on wall proportions and furniture placement. The black wood frame provides a defined edge that separates the mirror from the wall, making it work in both neutral and darker-toned interiors.

The bevelled glass border strips are set into the frame at slight angles, creating shadow lines between each strip. This construction gives the frame more visual weight than a simple flat border while keeping the overall depth to 2.5cm. At 11-21kg depending on mounting hardware, the mirror needs secure wall fixings — use at least two D-rings or a French cleat system attached to studs or solid masonry, not plasterboard alone.

How is the black frame maintained?

The wood frame is painted black and can be wiped with a slightly damp cloth. Avoid soaking the wood or using harsh cleaners. Clean the glass border and mirror surface with standard glass cleaner and a lint-free cloth.
