Description

The Brillix is a 50cm LED bollard light with a brown powder-coated metal body housing an integrated 4000K LED. The rectangular-section column tapers to an angled head that projects light downwards and forward, illuminating pathways, driveways and garden borders without spilling light upwards into the sky.

Designed for residential outdoor installation on hard surfaces or set into gravel, the Brillix carries an IP54 rating against dust and water spray, making it suitable for uncovered pathways, driveways and patio edges. The 4000K colour temperature produces neutral white light that renders natural colours accurately without the yellowish cast of warmer LEDs or the clinical blue of cooler ones. At 50cm height the bollard sits low enough to avoid glare when walking past but tall enough to project light 2-3m along a path.

The brown finish is a mid-tone bronze-brown powder coat over metal, designed to reduce visual contrast against soil, bark mulch and terracotta paving. The finish is UV-stable and resists fading under prolonged sun exposure. The rectangular column measures 138.5mm long and projects 123mm from its mounting base, giving the bollard a modern geometric profile that pairs cleanly with contemporary architecture and hard landscaping.

What does the IP54 rating mean?

IP54 means the bollard is protected against dust ingress and water spray from any direction. It is suitable for uncovered outdoor use but should not be submerged or exposed to direct high-pressure water jets.

How is it installed?

The bollard requires a suitable outdoor electrical connection and secure mounting to a stable surface. Installation should be carried out by a qualified electrician in accordance with UK wiring regulations for outdoor lighting.

What colour temperature is 4000K?

4000K is neutral white, sitting between the warm yellow of 2700K-3000K and the cool blue of 5000K-6000K. It renders colours accurately without adding a noticeable warm or cool tint to pathways and planting.

Is the LED replaceable?

The LED is integrated into the fitting. If the LED fails within the warranty period, the entire unit is covered under the 5-year warranty from Ideal Lux.
