Description

The Brillix is a 100cm LED bollard light with a brown powder-coated metal body housing an integrated 3000K LED. The rectangular head tilts forward at approximately 45 degrees from the vertical column, directing light downward onto paths, driveways and garden borders. The IP54 rating protects the internal LED module and electronics from dust ingress and water splashes from any direction, making it suitable for year-round outdoor installation in the UK.

Designed for pathway lighting, driveway edging and perimeter marking, the Brillix provides functional ground-level illumination rather than decorative accent lighting. The 100cm height places the light source above typical groundcover planting and low garden walls without creating glare at eye level for pedestrians. The brown finish sits comfortably against rendered walls, timber fencing, brick paving and gravel surfaces without visual clash.

The integrated LED removes the need for bulb replacement during typical residential use, and the 3000K colour temperature produces warm white light comparable to traditional halogen bollards. The metal construction withstands frost, rain and UV exposure without corrosion when the powder-coated finish remains intact. The rectangular head profile gives the Brillix a contemporary appearance distinct from traditional cylindrical bollards.

Frequently Asked

What does the IP54 rating mean for outdoor use?

IP54 provides protection against dust ingress and water splashes from any direction. The Brillix can withstand rain, garden sprinklers and typical UK weather year-round, but should not be installed where it will be submerged or face direct high-pressure water jets.

How is the bollard installed?

The Brillix requires mains wiring run underground to the bollard base position, terminating in a suitable junction box or connector. The bollard column then mounts onto a level concrete pad or fixing plate, with the cable fed up through the column to the LED module. Installation should be carried out by a qualified electrician.

Can the LED be replaced?

The LED is integrated into the light head and is not user-replaceable. The module is rated for approximately 25,000-30,000 hours of operation, which equates to around 10-15 years of typical evening-only use in a residential garden.

What spacing is recommended between bollards on a pathway?

For continuous pathway lighting, position Brillix bollards 3-4 metres apart on alternating sides of a path, or 5-6 metres apart if lining one side only. Closer spacing increases light levels but may create excessive visual clutter along short runs.
