Description

The Brillix is a 100cm tall LED bollard light with a grey powder-coated metal body, an integrated warm-white 3000K LED, and an IP54 rating for dust and splash protection. The LED sits behind a diffuser panel at the top of the 138.5mm square column, casting light downward onto paths, driveways and garden borders.

Designed for pathway lighting, front-of-house driveways, and perimeter garden borders, the Brillix stands tall enough to clear low planting and ground-level obstacles without protruding into walkways. The 100cm height places the light source above ankle level, reducing glare for anyone walking past while providing even illumination along the path ahead. The IP54 rating protects the internal LED and wiring from rain, garden hose splash and dust ingress, making the bollard suitable for year-round outdoor installation in the UK.

The grey powder-coated finish provides a neutral tone that pairs with both contemporary rendered facades and traditional brick or stone. The metal construction gives the bollard enough weight to resist casual knocks and minor impacts without requiring ground anchoring beyond standard base fixing. The 123mm projection from the base keeps the overall footprint compact, allowing multiple bollards to be spaced 2-3m apart along a pathway without crowding the walkable width.

What does the IP54 rating mean?

IP54 provides protection against dust ingress and water splashing from any direction. The Brillix can be installed in open garden areas exposed to rain, but should not be submerged or subjected to pressure-washing.

How is it powered?

The bollard requires mains 230V supply run underground in armoured cable to the base. Installation should be carried out by a qualified electrician in accordance with outdoor electrical wiring regulations.

Can the LED be replaced?

The LED is integrated into the fixture and is not user-replaceable. Ideal Lux provides a 5-year warranty on the LED and housing assembly.

How far apart should bollards be spaced?

For continuous pathway lighting, spacing bollards 2-3m apart typically provides overlapping pools of light without dark gaps. For marker lighting where full illumination is not needed, 4-5m spacing works.
