Description
The Brillix is a 100cm LED bollard light built from black powder-coated aluminium with an angled head that directs warm 3000K light downwards onto pathways, driveways and garden borders. The integrated LED is rated IP54, protecting the fitting from dust and water spray from any direction, making it suitable for year-round outdoor use in exposed UK weather conditions.
Designed for residential driveways, garden pathways, commercial car parks and public walkways, the Brillix provides functional visibility after dark without glare at eye level. The 100cm height positions the light source above typical ground-level planting and keeps the head clear of snow cover in winter. The downward-angled head concentrates light onto the ground plane in front of the bollard, reducing light spillage into neighbouring windows or upwards into the night sky.
The slim rectangular column measures 138.5mm wide with a 123mm projection from the mounting point to the face of the head. The black aluminium finish resists UV degradation and corrosion from salt spray in coastal locations. The 3000K colour temperature provides warm white light comparable to halogen, making it easier to read surface textures on gravel, paving and grass edges than cooler 4000K-6000K LED options. Installation requires a suitable base or ground spike (sold separately) and mains connection via armoured cable to an outdoor-rated driver.
The Brillix carries a 5-year warranty covering the LED driver and housing. The integrated LED is non-replaceable but rated for over 30,000 hours of operation, equivalent to roughly 10 years at 8 hours per night.

Frequently Asked
What does the IP54 rating mean for outdoor use?
IP54 means the fitting is protected from dust ingress and from water spray from any direction. It can handle UK rain, snow and hosing down during cleaning, but should not be submerged or subjected to high-pressure water jets.
How is the bollard mounted?
The Brillix requires either a concrete foundation with a mounting flange or a ground spike system designed for 100cm bollards. The base is not included and must be purchased separately depending on whether you are mounting into soft ground, paving or concrete.
Can the light output be dimmed?
No. The integrated LED driver does not support dimming. The light output is fixed at the factory-set level for the 3000K LED module.
What spacing between bollards is recommended?
For continuous pathway lighting, position bollards 3-5 metres apart depending on the width of the path and the amount of ambient light from surrounding sources. For driveways, 4-6 metre spacing typically provides adequate visibility without over-lighting.
