Description
The Brelora is a three light spotlight bar for the ceiling: a slim black backplate with rounded ends, carrying three cylindrical spot heads in a brushed bronze finish. The body is steel, and the bar measures 40cm long, 8cm wide and 13cm high. Each head takes a GU10 bulb of up to 5W, and the bulbs are not included, which leaves the choice of bulb entirely yours. It carries an IP44 rating, meaning it is protected from splashing water, so it is just as much at home in a steamy kitchen as in a dry living room.
Because each head swivels on its own short stem, you can point one at a worktop, another at a bookcase and the third at a doorway, so a single ceiling position lights three different spots. It suits kitchens, hallways, studies and living rooms. The IP44 rating also means it may go in a bathroom, where a qualified electrician will confirm the right zone, and it can live outdoors on a house wall. We find the black and bronze pairing sits comfortably beside warm wood, black hardware and white walls, and it brings a touch of warmth to a plain ceiling.
The steel body pairs a black backplate and stems with bronze heads, and a clear rim sits at the front of each one. There is no switch on the fitting itself, as it is switched at the wall, and it runs on 220-240V mains. As a wired-in mains light, it should be installed by a qualified electrician, and the installation instructions come as a download. Packed, it weighs 1.951KG. When you buy bulbs, choose GU10 lamps of 5W or less, one for each of the three heads, and you are ready to light the room.
