Bowtie 3 Light Bathroom Wall Light - Matt Black IP44

The Bowtie is a 3 light bathroom wall light built on a matt black steel frame spanning 572mm width, with three frosted opal glass cone shades and integrated 3W G9 LED bulbs. The IP44 rating makes it suitable for bathroom zones 2 and 3, protecting the fittings against splashing water from any direction.

Designed for installation above mirrors in bathrooms, en-suites and cloakrooms, the Bowtie provides task lighting for shaving, grooming and makeup application. The 572mm width suits mirror widths of 500-700mm, while the 102mm projection keeps the fitting clear of typical basin taps and splashbacks. The three frosted glass shades diffuse the light to reduce glare when positioned at eye level, and the 3000K colour temperature provides warm white light that renders skin tones naturally.

The matt black finish on the steel frame and geometric diamond-profile wall plate give the fitting a contemporary look that pairs with modern bathroom fittings in chrome, brushed brass or matt black. What bathroom zones is the Bowtie suitable for?

The IP44 rating makes it suitable for bathroom zones 2 and 3 (outside the shower enclosure and more than 600mm from the bath edge). It is not rated for zone 0 or zone 1 (inside the shower or directly above the bath).

What mirror width does it suit?

The 572mm width works best above mirrors between 500-700mm wide. For narrower mirrors, consider the Bowtie 2 light variant; for wider mirrors above 800mm, two separate wall lights may provide more balanced illumination.

Are the LEDs replaceable?

The G9 LEDs are included and user-replaceable. Standard G9 LED bulbs up to 3W can be fitted if the originals fail, though the frosted glass shade design is optimised for the included bulbs.

How is it fitted to the wall?

The diamond-profile backplate fixes directly to a standard UK lighting circuit terminal block, with two screw fixings through the backplate into the wall. The glass shades are removable for access to the bulbs once the main frame is mounted.
