Description

The Knightsbridge GDLMK23 is a stainless steel mounting kit designed to anchor GLD2 and GLD3 bollard lights into concrete bases. The kit consists of a circular top plate with five bolt-through fixings and three curved stainless steel legs that extend 155mm down into the concrete pour, providing a stable foundation for the bollard body once the concrete has cured.

Intended for domestic garden and driveway installation, the mounting kit is installed before the concrete sets, with the legs embedded in the wet mix and the top plate positioned flush with the finished concrete surface. Once the concrete has cured, the bollard light fixes to the top plate via the five pre-drilled holes, creating a permanent installation that resists lateral movement and vertical settling over time.

The 135mm diameter top plate matches the base diameter of compatible Knightsbridge GLD2 and GDL3 bollard models, ensuring a close fit between the mounting plate and the bollard housing. The stainless steel construction resists corrosion in outdoor conditions where the concrete may be exposed to moisture, freeze-thaw cycles and ground contact with soil or aggregates.

Which bollard models is this compatible with?

The GDLMK23 mounting kit is designed specifically for Knightsbridge GLD2 and GLD3 bollard lights. The 135mm top plate diameter matches the base of those models. It is not compatible with other bollard ranges or manufacturers.

How deep does the concrete base need to be?

The mounting kit legs extend 155mm down from the top plate, so the concrete pour should be a minimum of 200mm deep to allow adequate coverage around the legs and provide structural stability. Deeper pours improve resistance to lateral movement in exposed locations.

Can this be used in gravel or soil installation?

No. This mounting kit is designed for concrete installation only. The legs rely on being embedded in cured concrete to provide the structural support needed for the bollard. For gravel or soil installation, a different mounting method is required.

Does the kit include the bollard light?

No. This is a mounting accessory only. The GLD2 or GLD3 bollard light is sold separately and fixes to the top plate after the concrete has cured.
