The Boir table lamp is a slim, modern desk and bedside light in matt white, built around a single straight iron rod that rises from a round base and bends over at the top to hold a small cylindrical spot shade. The shade is 4cm across and 8cm long, and it sits on a joint so you can angle the light down onto a book, a keyboard or a page of notes. It stands 35cm tall on a 14cm base, which keeps its footprint small on a crowded surface. It takes one GU10 lamp, and lamps are not included, so choose a GU10 bulb in the colour temperature that suits the room.

Its angled spot shade makes it a natural task light. We would put it on a desk in a home office or study, on a bedside table where one person wants to read without lighting the whole room, or on a side table beside a reading chair.
