Description

The Boir Table Lamp is a slim, modern table lamp in matt black, built around a single GU10 lamp holder. A straight upright stem rises from a round, flat disc base, bends at the top and carries a small cylindrical shade angled towards the surface beneath it. It stands 35cm tall on a base 14cm across, and the shade itself is 4cm across and 8cm long, so it takes up very little room on a desk, bedside table or sideboard. The lamp holder takes one GU10 bulb, which is not included, so you can choose the brightness and colour of light that suits the room.

We think it works best where you want focused light close at hand: on a home office desk, beside the bed for reading, or on a hall console where a small pool of light is more welcome than a bright ceiling fitting. Its narrow profile suits small spaces and clean, modern interiors, and the matt black finish sits comfortably against white walls, pale wood and darker schemes alike. It is rated IP20, which means it is for dry indoor rooms only. It runs on 220-240V mains and comes with a 2m textile cable, which gives you a fair reach to a socket set behind furniture.

The structure is iron in a matt black finish, and the cable is covered in textile, a small detail that looks neater where it runs across a desk or down the back of a bedside table. It is switched on and off rather than dimmed, so there is no dimmer to match to the bulb. It carries a 2 year guarantee.
