Description

The Bog Oak ceramic ceiling light is a flush fitting with a single exposed lampholder and a flat disc of glazed ceramic set just beneath a round ceiling plate. The glaze is Blue Earth, a cool, weathered blue with cloudy variation across its surface and a softly uneven edge. It is 10cm tall and 28cm across. The metalwork is brass, and it comes in Antique Brass, Antique Silver, Matt Black, Polished Brass, Polished Copper or Satin Brass, with the Matt Black in RAL 9005. Bulbs are sold separately: it takes one E27 bulb of up to 40W, and because the bulb hangs in full view beneath the disc, the one you pick shapes the look.

Because it sits close to the ceiling, it suits rooms where a pendant would hang too low: a hallway, a landing, a bedroom or a study with a modest ceiling height. A few in a line work well along a corridor, and a single one gives a small room a focal point without crowding it.
