Description

The Blux W125 Plug-in is a wall light from our Blux System range, with a long, slim arm that carries a single dome shade well out into the room. It is 22.5cm tall and reaches 125cm out from the wall, so the light lands where you need it rather than on the plaster behind. It takes one E27 bulb, which is sold separately and gives the light; choose one of 10W at most. We offer it in Black, Red, Beige, Brass and Copper, so you can pick the finish that sits best with your walls and furniture.

Because it plugs in, it needs no wiring into the wall, which makes it an easy choice for a rented home or a room you are still arranging. That long reach suits a living room, where it can light a reading chair or the end of a sofa from the wall behind. In a bedroom it gives you a reading light beside the bed without taking up any space on the bedside table, and in a dining room it can reach out towards the table from a nearby wall. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only.

The design is pared back: a straight arm that turns down at one end to a round wall plate, the dome shade at the other, and the cable dropping from the plate. There is little to it, and that is much of its appeal in a calm, uncluttered room. It is not dimmable, so choose your E27 bulb, 10W or less, for the level of light you want day to day. Once it is on the wall, fit the bulb, plug it in and it is ready. It has a plug on its cable, and we include a UK adaptor in the box, so it is ready for a UK socket.
