Description

The Bloom wall light sits a single glass globe on a small round backplate, so it reads as a soft ball of light held close to the wall. In this black finish the frame is ribbed and the outer glass is a satin grey, with a white acid-etched inner diffuser that turns the lamp into an even glow rather than a bright point. This is the larger 170mm size, built around an E27 fitting and projecting 157mm from the wall.

The E27 cap lets this size take a standard screw-in bulb and throw more light than the compact G9 version, which suits it to a living room, a hallway or a wider stretch of wall where usable brightness is wanted. Lit, the grey ribbed glass keeps the source muted; off, it reads as a smoky glass ball on a neat black backplate against the wall.

We supply it ready to wire; a bulb is not included on this size, so we would fit an E27 lamp to suit. The standard screw cap means a wide choice of LED bulbs and colour temperatures.

What kind of light does the Bloom 170mm wall light give?

A soft, broad glow. The white acid-etched inner glass diffuses the E27 lamp into an even ball of light, and the satin grey ribbed outer glass keeps it muted. The larger size and E27 output spread more light than the compact G9 version.

It uses a single E27 screw-cap bulb up to 42W. A bulb is not included on this size, so we would fit an E27 lamp to suit; the standard cap means a wide choice of LED bulbs and colour temperatures.
